LabMate connects people, inventory, equipment, samples, protocols, experiments, vendors, schedules, and existing tools so routine work can be coordinated and acted on from one place. Its operating loop is simple: track, understand, recommend, approve, execute, and predict—with people retaining review and control.

Teams often manage this work across spreadsheets, calendars, documents, and messages. LabMate connects those workflows so a project can link to its protocols and materials, an experiment can link to equipment and supply needs, and a conversation can initiate an authorized action. Shared inventory and duties sit alongside paused-project handoffs, lab knowledge, and unfinished analyses.

The prototype includes account access, isolated lab workspaces, persistent inventory, a usage ledger, tasks, reorder drafts, project handoffs, and versioned lab knowledge. Chat previews changes for review and uses the same permission-checked operations as the manual screens. Live AI requires provider configuration; a clearly labeled local simulation is available. Experiments reserve materials separately from actual use. Internal equipment booking, private availability controls, recurring work, reviewed spreadsheet imports, and selected-member writing reviews connect the daily workflow.

Synthetic basic-science, translational/preclinical, and clinical-laboratory scenarios demonstrate the same shared foundations. Photos and handwritten tables become drafts for human review, not automatic scientific conclusions. Selected cloud-file adapters require separate configuration; broader calendar and messaging connections remain planned. Personal sources stay private unless explicitly shared, and hidden calendar events do not appear in shared availability. Clinical examples coordinate de-identified specimen logistics and QC status; they do not provide diagnosis, clinical validation, or regulatory certification.
